Ant Control Home Remedies

Ant Home Control

The most problematic sort of bug is the kind that won’t just infest inside or outside of a house, but that takes over all over. In Corpus Christi, ants seem to be the type of critter that will do this. If you have an ant problem both inside and outside of you home, it can be twice as hard to exterminate of the critters. We know you do not always want to find the number and call instantly for Corpus Christi ant control, so Bulwark Exterminating has put together a list of four easy do-it-yourself ant remedies that you can attempt when you are struggling with trouble with any types of ants in or around your home.

Dust Repellent

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Cup Dried Mint Flakes
  • ¼ Cup Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Cup Rock Dust (From Nursery)
  • 1 Cup Garlic Powder
  • 1 Package Dry Enchilada Sauce Mix
  • 1 Cup Organic Alfalfa Meal
  • 1/2 Cup Cayenne Pepper

Directions

Blend all of the ingredients with each other inside of a big paper bag. Then, use the powdery concoction and dust it anywhere that you have seen ants. This mix won’t kill the ants, but it will discourage them from entering areas by making a protective barrier that the ants will not cross. Advisory: Don’t get this concoction anywhere near your eyes.

Bait

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
  • 6 Tablespoons Honey
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Boric Acid

Directions

Mix the ingredients and then scoop out tiny spoonfuls of the mixture where you have seen groups of ants. The insects will bring this poisonous mixture back to their whole nest, where they will eat it and share it with the nest so it will get all the way to the queen of the ants. After the queen ant has eaten the poison, the whole nest should dissolve within just a few days.

Another Ant Bait

You can do a very similar procedure as before, just with a moderately varied recipe. If it is done the right way, it should yield the same results, exterminating the whole nest of ants after a few days.

Ingredients

  • ¼ Cup Grape Jelly
  • 1 Small Can Wet Cat Food
  • 1 Teaspoon Boric Acid
Basic Ant Spray

Ingredients

  • 2 Liters Warm Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Soap Flakes
  • 1 Tablespoon Hot Sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 1 Teaspoon natural castile soap (citrus oil and vegetable oils)

Directions

Combine each of the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake it up to blend. Spray this concoction in spots where you’ve noticed ants, and you can even spray onto the ants themselves.
